The year of the Gathering arrives and the village of Gathering has become the city of Gathering. The rich live in the grand inns in the town and those of lesser status live in tents in a huge field set aside for such thing. Weddings are performed, alliances are secured and trade deals are made. Mercenaries are in high demand as are apprentices looking for masters.
