Mages at Dragon's Fire create talking stones. These stones allowed people to talk across battle fields to coordinate battles more effectively, for people to speak to a large group, or for captains to speak to the dock to avoid collisions. Though they are hard to make, and thus expensive, people are lined up to get these magic stones.
